It’s Saturday the 5th September, and I should ha It’s Saturday the 5th September, and I should have watched my little sister walking down the aisle to the love of her life. Unfortunately, 2020 had different plans, for everyone! We should all be on the dance floor right now, dancing to Mr Brightside for the 17th time (right josh? 😉) and you guys would be starting the rest of your lives together. And while I am quietly glad that I have an extra year to write any speeches, I’m sorry that today wasn’t your special day. But you have each other, you have your beautiful little family. You have friends and family around you that would do anything for you, and you have a mutual love of alcohol - what more could you ask for? A smooth 2020? Thats not what the best stories are made of. You need to overcome something to make a great story. It might not seem like a lot now, but when you look back, you’ll see - nothing comes easy that’s worth having. Cheers to you guys! I’m glad you found each other ❤️

This time last week I was on holiday with friends, sitting in a hot tub looking up at the stars. I remember when I was a kid, I used to sit outside with my dad looking at the stars, watching for UFOs and shooting stars. I don’t do it enough these days, but I should. It’s as close to a religious experience as this atheist can get. We are on a spec of dirt, travelling 67,000 miles an hour, hurtling through space. Our sun is one of ~200 billion in our galaxy alone. There are about 100 billion galaxies in the universe, and it would take us 100k lightyears to get from one side of our galaxy to the other (if we could travel at the speed of light) We are made of the same things as the stars, so when people say you’re a star, maybe you are. Our sun is burning hydrogen, the most abundant element in the universe, and that is in us too (Hey, I think I just cracked Gnosticism). This helps me realise how insignificant my problems are. No matter how bad it gets. All of us are a blip. If we fuck up, so be it. We will all be gone in the universe’s blink of an eye. Just be who you want to be in that time. I want to be kind. First night of listening I put on my headphones and laid back. No other distractions. I knew I liked fear inoculum, but when Pneuma started, I had goosebumps and a warm fuzzy feeling inside. That feeling you get when your favourite band haven’t released an album in 13 years, and you’re happy with the outcome. There’s always nervous apprehension before it’s released, but it was love at first listen!
